I'm trying to get the giant clusterfuck known as my carbuetor set up in good enough shape so I can hopefully drive Emma around the block tomorrow. The TV cable bracket was way off somehow so I had to relocate it. The throttle cable is too slack because of the new TV bracket so I zip tied the old throttle bracket to the TV bracket... It sort of works. Best part? If something is wrong my trans commits suicide. Also, my parents moved my fuel inlet nozzle from where I was storing it to some random location they can't remember so I need to go buy a new one tomorrow. This car is stressing me out.

More complaining:
I hate working at my home garage (normally I work at my grandfathers shop); I don't have any of the right tools, the lighting is comprised of one 60w bulb and my iPods flashlight app, there is no space to move around and no space for storing parts, and I'm not allowed to make noise because my brother is sleeping above my work area.

Just make it work more in your favor as far as the work space is concerned. And as far as the car goes you will get better with it as long as you keep at it. I go by the one hour rule, one hour spent on my car per day minimum until it's 100%. And be happy you have a garage brother, all I have is a sloped driveway I can't jack up a car on, and a back yard that is a borderline swamp. So I threw some rock/cement palates down there and jacked my car up on them. If I want to work on my car right now I have to lay in snow, so you've got it better then most. Just trying to help you put it in perspective. Ask your brother if it's cool if you make some noise for an hour or two every night fixing shit. If he knows exactly when it will start and end he may be more willing to let you do your thing. But the important thing is just keep at it, and when you get parts put it in your car or in your room, hell even keep them on your bed, you learn to love the smell.

Invest in a decent headlamp - I've done engine swaps with only that and a candle.

Also, one of those statements isn't true.
